Eldrick Alexander, Vice President, Director of Client Fulfillment, NCARB

Eldrick Alexander Eldrick became a member of the VMI family in October of 1998, staying until July of 2007. After a brief hiatus with another Bay Area firm, he returned to VMI in August 2010. Beginning as a CAD drafter, Eldrick progressed thru the ranks to become a Project Manager. He has overseen restaurant projects, speculative commercial buildings, residential remodels, vocational schools, and medical, dental, and veterinary buildings. Eldrick has also completed work with the Division of the State Architect and the University of California, Berkeley.
 
Eldrick earned a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture & Planning from Howard University in Washington, D.C., in May of 1998. He completed the NCARB Intern Development Program in 2005 and is sitting for the California Architectural Registration Exam.
 
Eldrick was born in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, living there as a young child. He became a citizen of the United States and has lived in New York City, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and California. His varied tastes of architecture, comingled with a love of adventure motorcycling have led him to travel to many states and countries documenting the art and science of architecture, including London, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, St. Martin, Oaxaca, and Trinidad. 
 

Shelly Pintabona, Vice President, Project Coordinator, Interiors

Shelly Pintabona Shelly started working at VMI in 1998, and rejoined VMI in 2007 after a two year hiatus during which she lived in Australia and studied design. Shelly's role varies; she currently handles marketing, daily operations and project coordination. As Green Accredited Professional certified by the Sustainable Furnishings Council, she also serves as our primary interior professional. When she's not a VMI, Shelly is an abstract mixed-media artist and has shown her work at art shows throughout the United States.

Robert Huntsberry, NCARB, Senior Architect

Robert Huntsberry Robert has been with VMI since June of 2003, and has over 40 years of professional experience. He has been a project manager for numerous commercial restaurants while at VMI, managing a portfolio of up to 18 projects at a time, with a staff of six to assist him.
 
Robert currently serves on the City of San Rafael Design Review Board - a post he has held for over 15 years - and has been chairman of the board three times. During his tenure he has reviewed numerous large scale projects including the current Transportation Center where Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) will stop and the nearby San Rafael Corporate Office Complex, as well as many commercial and residential projects.
 
Robert worked for Heller Manus Architects and managed the design documents, construction documents, and provided construction administration for several large commercial office building projects, mid and high-rise residential buildings, and a variety of other mixed use types of buildings. These projects ranged in cost from 10 to 40 million dollars.
 
Before joining Heller Manus, Robert was in private practice for 11 years designing financial facilities. During this period, his firm also provided complete interior design services, including the supply of furnishings, fixtures and security equipment.
 
Prior to opening his own practice, Robert was in charge of a design-build firm in Sausalito where they provided architectural services, interior design services, and acted as general contractors for their projects.
 
Robert is a licensed architect in California with NCARB certification.

Phillip Moss, Senior Architect, Certified Green Building Professional

Phillip Moss Phillip joined VMI in 2002 after practicing architecture on his own in San Francisco for 14 years and has taken the lead on many difficult projects for VMI. He became a Certified Green Building Professional and has a passion for green architecture. Phillip has been licensed in California since 1982 and a member of NCARB since 1984. He is also licensed to practice architecture in Arizona, Oregon and Washington. Phillip has sat on the Albany Planning Commission since 2000. Phillip is a fifth-generation Californian and a member of E Clampus Vitas.

Damien Hannigan, Project Architect, LEED Accredited Professional

Damien Hannigan Damien has been with VMI since 2001 and received recognition as a L.E.E.D. Accredited Professional in 2009. Originally from Donegal, Ireland, he previously worked for architect Paul Sweeney (of Carr, Sweeney & O`Farrell, Dublin, Ireland) specializing in schools and churches before coming to California. Damien has also lived and worked in Germany, Holland and London. Damien enjoys travelling and seeking out new building methods and design articulation. Damien finds Northern California inspiring, and appreciates the many beautiful buildings that showcase the pedigree of influential Northern California architects.

Brenton Jackson, Project Manager

Brenton Jackson Brenton joined VMI in 2006 while studying architecture and business at the University of California, Berkeley. In his current role, Brenton serves as CAD manager, project manager, develops renderings, and conducts office training. He is currently working towards his architecture license. Outside the office, Brenton enjoys photography.

Allison Fielder, Administrative Assistant

Allison Fielder Allison joined the VMI team in 2012 and serves as the Administrative Assistant. When you call VMI you may hear a new, cheerful voice on the other end of the line. That would be Allison. Allison’s can-do attitude and her willingness to tackle any tasks that arise make her a great new addition to our team.

Veronica Brooks, Bookkeeper

Veronica joined VMI in 2013 and originally hails from Chappaqua, New York - a 30 minute train ride outside of New York city. She brings an extensive construction background; she has been working as a bookkeeper for contractors since 1981. Veronica attended Mercy College with a focus on Education. She is also a Master Basketweaver and teaches the art. She is involved in various community activities around Sonoma Valley High School serving as the President of the high school Booster Club, as Secretary of the District Bond Oversight Committee , and on the Facilities Planning Committee. Veronica and her husband have raised three children in Sonoma and are almost empty nesters.
 
"In my personal life I am part of a community. It's nice to have that community on a professional level, as well, here at VMI. While we all have different roles, it is a team effort where our clients come first. Employees and clients are treated wtih the utmost respect and integrity.
