This regional branch bank for Far East National Bank was designed by Robert J. Huntsberry while working for Heller Manus Architects. It was constructed on the first floor of the historically prominent Lionel J. Wilson building in Oakland. The building had been seismically upgraded with huge concrete columns on the first floor that had to be worked into the final floor plan. The traditional banking interior transcends the historical nature of the building with the bank’s wishes for a contemporary interior.
